Closure Variations – Woven Bags – Permanent Carrying Bags

Customers who would like to better protect their articles in a PP woven shopping bag or to ensure that their products are not exposed to sun, dirt, or rain, can choose between various possibilities.

Woven bags with snap buttons offer protection even in the bag opening. Most woven bags have no closure at all.

Snap buttons are available in plastic or metal quality and in multiple colours. For woven bags which are square shaped and have a depth of up to 15cm, a snap button in the middle of the top of the folded rim is often adequate. When the bags are to be used as promotional, shopping, or trade fair bags, customers want them to be easy to open and close again. Both the closure you choose as well as the format and measurements of the bag you design will help to achieve this. Functionality for the user comes from a combination of form and function. If you're looking for woven bags to be filled with broschures and give-aways and which should be easy to close, then you may need a college bag with or without a flap. It's easiest to advertise on woven bags with a medium depth of 10 to 15cm combined with a velcro or snap button closure. A snap button is ideal, however, on a relatively small promotional bag, or if the woven bag is relatively large, a velcro closure suitable to the bag's size may be more appropriate.

If the woven bag is very large and is not to have a zipper closure but rather a large opening area which can be opened and closed easily, then velcro closures are the best choice. They can be of a relatively long length and allow two sewn surfaces to fasten together. We are also able to offer velcro closures in various colours, so that these can be incorporated into the design if necessary. Larger woven bags may also be additionally secured by a long strip of velcro in the interior of the bag, allowing the customer to create partitions within the bag. It is important that these partitions be created with a purpose in mind, and that the velcro strips not be too large or too small. If they are too small they will not close properly, and if they are too large they may become a nuisance.

The most secure closure for your permanent carrying bags is a zipper (also available in multiple colours). There are metal and plastic zippers available for your woven bags. You should choose the correct zipper according to its strength.

We are also happy to offer you multicoloured zippers for your promotional bags, which can either blend in or create a sharp contrast to your other colours!
